The act of the presentation of the falleras mayores is perhaps one of the most representative and anchored in the idiosyncrasy of the Valencian festivity of Las Fallas. Our scenographic design project for the Presentation of Falla Corona 2024 wanted to reinterpret the complexity and richness of this tradition in an avant-garde gesture that evokes the subtle light and atmosphere of calm characteristic of many of the paintings of the Valencian master Joaquín Sorolla.

Our goal has always been to create a clean staging, but with a lot of character, to accompany the falleras in a unique act where the main characters were them and their rich attire.

To achieve this we have used materials and elements such as natural pine wood frames, cotton fabrics and dry vegetation, which have provided a distinctive imprint to the project. All this combined in a harmonious way evokes the atmosphere and spirit of Sorolla’s works, creating a setting that perfectly enhances and complements the event.
